I’m thrilled to announce that my wife Chelsea Chorpenning and I have finished our film, JELLYBONES and will be premiering it at The Mayan Theatre, Monday April 13th, from 7-9pm!

It is a 20 minute, psychological horror short. Peep the premice:

A woman grappling with a recent trauma faces a pandemic alone, determined to rebuild herself mentally and physically. But as the pressures of the modern world mount, she begins to realize that self-improvement may not be enough to keep her from unraveling.

DENVER, CO – On Saturday, March 28th from 2–5 PM, Pantones Denver brings modern funk heat to the patio at El Piñon (550 E Colfax Ave) for a special Star Creature 7” release party celebrating KUATO’s latest release, “DJ’s Delight / She’s A Go Getter.”

The free daytime event will spotlight all-vinyl sets by Neon Brown (one-half of KUATO and creator of Pantones) alongside Tim Zawada, founder of Star Creature. Both will be spinning deep cuts and modern funk favorites.

Adding to the celebration, Tim Tucker, Star Creature recording artist and featured vocalist on KUATO’s new 7”, will be in attendance, selling his music and connecting with fans. The KUATO duo will also be on-site to celebrate the release.

Attendees can expect:

• All-vinyl DJ sets from Neon Brown & Tim Zawada

• A Star Creature Records pop-up shop

• Record giveaways

• Appearances by KUATO and Tim Tucker

• Some of the best modern funk to date

This is a free event and open to the public. Music lovers, vinyl collectors, and funk aficionados alike are invited to come let loose on the patio and celebrate the latest from KUATO and Star Creature Records.

If it happens to rain, which is a good possibility, we’ll be moving the party inside. So don’t worry, we still got you covered with your dose of funk.

I am happy to announce that Bar Fausto will be releasing a mixtape my dude Zak Harper and I recorded on cassette (don't worry, the cassette comes with a digital download code, so you'll be able to play it on your tracking devices) this Valentine's day.

Come on into Bar Fausto Wednesday, February 14th for a special Valentine's day event. There will be drinks specials, which include the free mixtape, a record/tape swap, and a performance by Big J Beats. As always, I will be holding down the music with an all vinyl J Dilla tribute in celebration of his birthday, February 7th.

I am very happy with this mixtape. Zak and I curated a solid 60-minute mix of smooth boogie and funk that will get you in the mood for love.
